On Friday, July 18, deputies responded to a shooting at an apartment at 6920 Baker Drive. When they arrived, they found the homeowner, Tamia Logan, dead in her front yard, deputies said.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation into her death has consumed countless hours and spanned several different counties.
On Wednesday, July 23, arrest warrants were issued for 37-year-old Marlow Anthony Johnson of 809 Philips Drive in Kings Mountain. He was considered armed and dangerous.
On August 5, Johnson was arrested in Charlotte. He faces a first-degree murder charge.
