Today, Governor Josh Shapiro reiterated that both sides are working hard, they know what the issues are and they need to compromise, which he has stressed every day since the stalemate began on July 1.
Today, he was asked if there needs to be a new budget process, since it’s late most years.
“Here’s what I know. I introduced my budget about 180 days ago. My views have been clear,” Shapiro said. “I would hope that next year they would begin the process a little sooner. That said, I don’t think now is a time to point fingers.”
Shapiro added he’s open to changing the process after this year’s budget is complete.
