Baxter County Quorum Court to consider resolution to aid in land clearing for new Aldi store

It will be a busy evening for the Baxter County Quorum Court Tuesday night with 13 items of new business on the agenda.

Among the items is a resolution to approve $16,000 to aid in the clearing of land where the new Aldi store is being built where the former El Chico restaurant was located. The Baxter County Economic Development Committee already approved the proposal and it will go before the entire court Tuesday night.

Another request the court will consider is for a part-time position in the Veteran Service Office for the rest of the year at a cost of $10,000.

The meeting begins at 5:30 in the second floor courtroom of the Baxter County Courthouse.
