The Topeka Family & Guidance Center (FSGC) will host its 19th annual “Works of Heart” fundraiser on Aug. 16. It will also be holding an online auction with all sorts of unique items and local experiences up for grabs which come courtesy of 15 young local artists.
FSGC’s fundraiser is also an opportunity to celebrate some of the center’s many success stories. A client of the FSGC told 27 News that therapy changed his life.
“I was dealing a lot with depression and suicide, and some days were harder than others, and some days, I could lean on my therapist. If she hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t be here today,” said Peter Blum.
While tickets for the in-person event are sold out, you can still support the cause by placing bids in the online auction. You can find a link to the auction by clicking here.
