The news comes from an announcement made by T.G.S. Transportation, a trucking company headquartered in Fresno. The announcement stated they will “be parking our trucks for good,” effective Thursday.
The logistics company has been serving the community for over 40 years since May 1985.
T.G.S. defines itself as an “international and domestic intermodal drayage provider” that “specializes in the import and export of dry and reefer cargo, retail, industrial and everyday goods.”
The company is headquartered in Fresno, but also has offices in Reno, Nevada, and Los Angeles, Long Beach and Oakland for international drayage.
In the statement, T.G.S tells its customers that some members of its team will “continue to serve the industry under a new flag,” and thanked their partners, vendors and drivers.
“You are the heart and soul of TGS. The dedication, hard work, and resilience you have demonstrated, especially over the past 12-18 months, have been nothing short of extraordinary,” the letter reads.
