Boy injured, 2 suspects arrested after fight leads to shots fired in St. Paul

Two juvenile suspects were taken into custody after allegedly shooting a boy in St. Paul on Saturday.

The St. Paul Police Department says that officers were called to a report of shots fired near Kennard Street and Nebraska Avenue East at around 4:48 p.m.

Law enforcement was directed to the 1700 block of Nebraska Avenue East, where they found a boy with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was brought to Regions Hospital, according to police.

Authorities say that a group of juveniles was fighting when shots were fired.

Nearby, officers found two suspects, who were both juvenile males, along with a firearm. Both suspects were taken into custody, police say.

The shooting is currently under investigation.
