Allstate Sugar Bowl inducts four members into New Orleans Hall of Fame, honors best athletes in Louisiana

The Allstate Sugar Bowl hosted its awards banquet Saturday at the Superdome. Four athletes were inducted into the New Orleans Hall of Fame’s 2025 class, while some of the state’s top athletes were also honored.

Those inducted into the Hall of Fame were Shan Foster, Temeka Johnson, Joe McKnight, and Andy Russo. Here are a few of the others who took home awards:

Outstanding Boys’ Prep Coach of the Year: Hank Tierney (Archbishop Shaw).

Outstanding Male Athlete: Kade Anderson (LSU).

Outstanding Boys’ Prep Team: Edna Karr Football.

The Sugar Bowl Athletes of the Month were also honored.
