150 Medical students to receive white coats at LSU Health Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — First-year medical students at LSU Health in Shreveport will receive their white coats.

The White Coat Ceremony represents the students’ entry into the medical profession. This marks the second consecutive year that first-year medical students will receive their white coats.

After the ceremony, there will be a Family Day on campus to give families an insight into what the program is like. Food trucks will also be available for family and friends.

The White Coat Ceremony will be held on Friday, August 1, at Riverview Theatre, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
