JEFFERSON, La. (WGNO) — The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a house fire left one man dead in the early morning hours of Saturday, Aug. 2.
According to the JPSO, they, along with fire personnel, responded to the fire in the 3000 block of D’Aquin Street around 12:55 a.m.

On scene, the attic of a home was seen engulfed in flames. Following the extinguishing of the fire, a man was found inside have been injured by the fire. He was pronounced dead by responders.

Investigators say the fire appears to have been accidental, although the exact cause remains under investigation.
