SPANISH FORK, Utah (ABC4) — Multiple agencies, including Spanish Fork Fire Department, responded to a fire near 2235 E and 2200 S in Spanish Fork around 5 p.m., on Friday evening.
A brush fire started in Spanish Fork around 5pm. According to Jack Urquhart, with Spanish Fork City, a tractor caught fire and spread to multiple structures on the farm property. Reportedly, it spread to hay and to an unenclosed barn.
Spanish Fork Fire Department and other county partners responded to the scene and have been able to get the fire mostly knocked down, in addition to establishing a perimeter. They have also been able to dismiss several of the partnering agencies from the scene.
There have still been some residual flares and crews are currently letting those burn out. Urquhart says they will likely be monitoring it for a couple more hours.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, and the fire is not threatening any residential structures. Officials are asking residents to continue to avoid the area.
