2025 July ties record for second-hottest July in Charlotte history
CHARLOTTE (PINPOINT WEATHER) — The month of July is over, and the heat stretch is going to end with it.

It was a toasty July for Charlotte this year; it was tied with 1986 for the second hottest July on record for Charlotte, with an average temperature of 84.7 degrees. The hottest July on record for Charlotte was in 1993, with an average temperature of 85.4 degrees.

This month was also very muggy; it was the 12th muggiest on record for Charlotte, with the average dew point of 69.4 degrees.

While it was muggy, we did not see a lot of storms. We had the 14th driest July on record for Charlotte.

It is hard to get a cold front during the summer season because they thrive on changes in temperature across the country. There is not a big temperature discrepancy during the peak of summer.
