The parents of a 15-year-old girl who vanished after being dropped off at a Santa Rosa junior college more than a week ago are making an urgent plea for information after various reported sightings of the teenager in the Bay Area. There is an active police report.
The Santa Rosa Police Department said Joyce Kristin Albino was last seen by her dad at 11 a.m. on July 22 when he dropped her off at the Santa Rosa Junior College Petaluma campus. When he returned to the campus at 1 p.m. to pick her up, he was informed that she had “left class halfway through, leaving behind her personal property,” according to police.
In a social media post on Tuesday, Joyce’s parents, Kathy and Christian wrote, “We feel to (sic) much time has passed and are requesting your help sharing this flyer so we can locate her and bringing her home safe. Please we request repost this in order to help us #bringJoyceHome. Our biggest request to friends and family is please help us spread this through our Bay Area community.”
Joyce is described as 5 feet tall and weighing about 115 pounds with brown eyes and black hair which may be dyed red. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a black Pro Club hooded sweatshirt and grey bike shorts.
SRPD said Joyce was reportedly seen at Andrew Spinas Park in Redwood City on July 22 at 7:40 p.m. She may have been spotted entering a black four-door Honda Accord with tinted windows.
There were possible sightings of Joyce on July 23 in San Rafael and on July 24 in San Francisco, according to Santa Rosa police.
Anyone with information on her current whereabouts is urged to contact SRPD at (707) 528-5222. Those with information that can help in locating Joyce are encouraged to contact SRPD Detective Luigi Valencia at (707) 543-4045 or lvalencia@srcity.org.
