ST. BERNARD PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A New Orleans man has been arrested following a drug and gun investigation that took place in St. Bernard Parish.
According to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office, 65-year-old Vener Young, of the 2300 block of Mazant Street in New Orleans, was arrested on the following charges:
Investigators say along with the previously mentioned drugs, they allegedly found a Smith and Wesson .40 caliber gun that was reported stolen by the New Orleans Police Department. Additionally, a search of Young’s home led to the alleged discovery of cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, a Walther handgun, an AR-style rifle and $102,601 in cash.
Young has been booked into the St. Bernard Parish Prison and is being held without bond.
