Mountain Home police obtained surveillance video which showed Oaks pulling into the store parking lot in the stolen truck. He is later seen at the self check out trying to pay for merchandise with the victim’s credit cards. After several unsuccessful attempts, he leaves the cart of merchandise and leaves the store.
Oaks, who at that time listed a Little Rock address, was later arrested and faced charges of theft of property and fraudulent use of a credit card. Through a negotiated plea deal, Oaks pleaded guilty to the theft of property charge and the fraudulent use of a credit card charge was nolle prossed. He was sentenced to 12 months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
For the crimes in Mountain Home, Oaks is facing seven felony counts each of second degree forgery and criminal attempt to commit theft of property. His bond is set at $10,000.

on, Fulton, Sharp, Mississippi and Garland counties. Charges included commercial burglary, theft of property, theft by receiving, breaking or entering, possession of firearms by certain persons, financial fraud, resisting arrest, fleeing, fleeing on foot, criminal mischief, furnishing prohibited articles and reckless driving.
