Once the lights are gone in three months, Adams says traffic on Highway 62B will keep flowing, but motorists coming to the intersection from other streets will encounter stop signs.

The city and ARDOT will work together to remove the lights and poles. Adams says they wont be able to repurpose the poles, but they may be able to save some of the lights to use the parts.
The light at 8th Street and Highway 62B was one of three intersections the city asked ARDOT to look at to help improve traffic flow along Highway 62B. The mayor says they are still looking at the other two intersections.
