Man accused of killing wife at Jackson apartment complex, arrested after standoff

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police announced a man was arrested after a standoff for allegedly killing his wife at an apartment complex.

Officers responded to Westwood Apartments in the 3100 block of Robinson Street on July 31.

According to Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade, the man shot his wife multiple times at the location. He said the victim worked at the apartment complex.

Wade said the suspect eventually surrendered to authorities after the standoff. The suspect and the victim have not been identified.
