Kansas Tourism announced on Tuesday, July 29 in a social media post that Sunflower Summer is being extended an extra five days. The program was initially supposed to run from July 12 to Aug. 3.

Sunflower Summer allows Kansas children to visit more than 230 locations across the state for free. These include places like zoos, art galleries, museums, nature centers and more.
Kansas students who are enrolled in Pre-K through to 12th grade can participate in the program and visit any one of the participating locations for free. Participants are allowed to visit each location for free only once apiece during the program’s run time.
