Photos: Uzi-style gun found floating in the San Francisco Bay

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Police Department said its dive team recovered an “Uzi”-style firearm floating in the Bay waters on Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said an observant off-duty SFPD officer spotted the gun and directed divers on where to locate the tossed firearm.

The exact location and timing of the surprising discovery was not disclosed.

“The firearm will be processed for DNA evidence,” said San Francisco police in a social media post.
