Lafayette Ballers prepare for season debut

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Acadiana’s ABA team, the Lafayette Ballers, are preparing for the start of the season in the fall.

The roster includes 14 active players and two alternates from Louisiana and other states.

“You get the chemistry, first of all, before anything kicks in. Conditioning, chemistry. You’re trying to put everybody together and everybody in place where you belong,” said head coach John Francis.

Shooting guard Bishop Ozan spoke on what he wants to do to get ready for the season opener.

“Honestly, just getting them out. My teammates, that relationship on and off the court, that’s going to be a major key whenever they want to start. So, it’s a journey,” said Ozan.

The Ballers tip off their season Oct. 25 on the road.
