SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The first day of school can sneak up while families are trying to enjoy the last few days of summer. Back to school brings a mix of emotions, stirring up excitement and anxiety in parents and students alike.

If you’re not quite sure when school starts back up — or if you just need a reminder — we’ve got you covered. Below is a list of starting dates for all of Utah’s public school districts, alongside a link to their calendar. Districts are organized alphabetically.

First days of school statewide

Alpine School District: School begins on Aug. 13 for grades 1 – 12. Kindergarten begins on August 19. The Alpine School District calendar is available here.

Beaver County School District: All grades go back to school on Aug. 13, the Beaver County School District calendar is posted on their website.

Box Elder School District: School starts back up on Aug. 25 for all grades in the Box Elder School District. It will be an early-out day for elementary school students. The district calendar is located here.

Cache County School District: Grades 1 – 12 start school on Aug. 20, and kindergarten begins the following week on Aug. 25. The Cache County School District calendar is available online.

Canyons School District: Elementary, junior high, and high school classes begin on Aug. 18. Kindergarten classes start on Aug. 20. You can view the Canyons School District semester calendar on their website.

Carbon School District: All grades begin school on Aug. 14, according to the Carbon School District’s school year calendar.

Daggett School District: The first day of school for Daggett School District is on Aug. 13. You can view Daggett School District’s events calendar online.

Davis School District: Students attending schools in the Davis School District will begin classes on Aug. 18. It will be an early-out day for elementary school students. Check out the district’s events calendar here.

Duchesne County School District: In Duchesne, the first day of school will be on Aug. 19. The school district has a calendar with important dates and events on its website.

Emery County School District: All grades will begin school on Aug. 13 in Emery County. Kindergarten will also begin that day, but it will be a half-day for them. You can view the Emery County School District calendar on the district’s website.

Garfield School District: The first day of school will be on Aug. 18. The district’s school year calendar can be found here.

Grand County School District: Classes begin on Aug. 14 in Grand County. The calendar of events for the entire school year is located on the school district’s website.

Granite School District: Elementary, junior high/middle, and high schools in the Granite School District will begin classes on Aug. 13. Kindergarten will start the following Monday, Aug. 18. View the district’s calendar here.

Iron County School District: The first day of school for all grades in the Iron County School District will be on Aug. 13. The school year calendar is accessible on the district’s website.

Jordan School District: High school classes (grades 10 – 12) will begin on Aug. 19. Elementary and middle/junior high school classes will start up on Aug. 20. Find Jordan School District calendars online here.

Juab School District: Students’ first day of school in the Juab School District will be on Aug. 13, with kindergarten classes beginning on Aug. 15. You can view the district’s school year calendars on its website.

Kane County School District: All grades in Kane County will begin classes on Aug. 12. Visit Kane County School District’s website here.

Logan City School District: The first day of school in Logan City will be on Aug. 20 for all grades, kindergarten to 12th grade. Preschool programs in the district will begin on Aug. 26. View the Logan City School District’s calendar online.

Millard School District: Classes for all grades in the Millard School District will start on Aug. 13. A full school year calendar can be viewed here.

Morgan County School District: Aug. 19 will be the first day of classes for all grades from kindergarten and 12th grade. Preschool programs will begin the following week, on Aug. 26. The Morgan County School District’s calendar is available on their website.

Murray City School District: For seventh graders in the Murray School District, school starts a little early. Seventh-grade classes will begin on Aug. 15, and all remaining grades except kindergarten will begin on Aug. 18. Kindergarten classes start on Aug. 21. Nebo School District: School picks back up on Aug. 13 for students of all ages in the Nebo School District. View important dates for the school year on the district’s website.

North Sanpete School District: The first day of school in North Sanpete will be on Aug. 14. The school year calendar is available online here.

North Summit School District: Students in the North Summit School District can look forward to the first day of school on Aug. 20. The school district has a calendar of events available on its website.

Ogden School District: For schools across the Ogden School District, classes start up on Aug. 15. The district also has a schedule of open houses before school starts that you can check out here. For the rest of the school year, a calendar of notable events is located on the district’s website.

Park City School District: The first day of school for students of all ages living in Park City will be Aug. 18. A calendar of important dates and school breaks is available on the Park City School District’s website.

Piute County School District: The Piute County School District will begin its fall semester on Aug. 12. If you’re looking for the district’s school year calendar, it’s available here.

Provo City School District: Students in grades 1 – 12 will start school on Aug. 13 in Provo. Kindergarten will start the following week, on Aug. 20. A district calendar — as well as individual calendars for each school — are available on the Provo City School District’s website.

Uintah School District: The first day of school for students from kindergarten to 12th grade is Aug. 20. Preschool programs in the Uintah School District will begin on Sep. 3. Find all of the district’s important dates on its website.

Wasatch County School District: Elementary and middle/junior high school students will begin classes on Aug. 18 in Wasatch County. High school students get an extra day of summer, with their classes beginning on Aug. 19. Kindergarten classes start on Aug. 25, followed by preschool beginning on Aug. 26.
