3rd Ranger Battalion to conduct essential training in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Officials announced on Wednesday that members of the U.S. Military will be conducting essential night time training in and around Columbus.

Military officials say the training will consist of air mobility operations and ground-based close-quarter battle training, to include simulated small arms fire.

Robust safety precautions are in place to protect residents and those participating, while planning considerations are made to minimize the impact on the community of noise around the controlled areas of training during the evening and early morning hours.
