I-55 North Pearl Street exit reopens in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Crews with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) reopened both lanes of the Interstate 55 northbound Pearl Street exit in Jackson.

The lanes were reopened on July 29. MDOT officials said the lane closures were part of a major bridge deck repair on I-55 over the Pearl River.

Lane closures remain in place on the southbound side of I-55 over the Pearl River as crews work to finish concrete pours. Until this work is complete, drivers are advised to slow down, stay alert for roadside crews, concrete barriers and changing traffic conditions.
