One lane of I-55 northbound Pearl Street exit reopens

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) reopened one lane of the Interstate 55 northbound Pearl Street exit in Jackson.

The lane was previously closed due to work associated with a major bridge deck repair on I-55 over the Pearl River.

MDOT officials said they will update on the public on the reopening of the remaining closed lanes once determined. Until the work is complete, drivers are advised to slow down, stay alert for roadside crews, concrete barriers and changing traffic conditions.
