2 taken to hospital after shooting in Baton Rouge, officials say

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Two people were taken to the hospital after a shooting in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, July 29, according to emergency medical services officials.

First responders were alerted just after 2:10 a.m. and responded to Belhaven Trace Drive.

EMS said the condition of those who were taken to the hospital is unknown at this time.

Baton Rouge Police Department units and officers, police tape and a Baton Rouge Fire Department truck were observed at the scene.
