Person of interest in custody in series of vandalisms in Little Village

CHICAGO — A person of interest is in custody in connection with a series of vandalisms last weekend in the city’s Little Village neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

Swastikas and the phrase “ICE Rules” were spray-painted on a grocery store and the buildings belonging to two community origanizers.

According to the Chicago Tribune, a 38-year-old man turned himself in after seeing surveillance images of himself in reports of the crime.

His arrest report indicates he does not have any criminal record in Illinois.

The investigation remains ongoing by Area Detectives.
