HOUMA, La. (WGNO) — Detectives with the Louisiana State Police have announced the arrest of a Houma man in connection with an investigation into alleged sexual exploitation of minors.
According to the LSP, 42-year-old Jacob Parfait was arrested after allegedly making plans to travel from Houma to Grand Isle “with the intent to engage in sexual intercourse with a minor.”
His arrest was part of a joint investigation with the LSP Special Victims Unit, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and the FBI.
Parfait was arrested on Friday, July 25. He faces charges of computer-aided solicitation of a minor, indecent behavior with a juvenile and attempted carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
