Luckett previously served as the superintendent of the Canton Public School District. The announcement comes after former Superintendent Gary Hannah announced he accepted the position of chief of staff for the Memphis-Shelby County Schools.
With an extensive background in educational leadership, a deep commitment to fostering academic excellence, and a genuine passion for the success and well-being of our students, Mr. Luckett brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our district. As an invaluable asset to our district, this is the second time the Canton Public School Board of Trustees has entrusted Mr. Luckett to serve as interim superintendent. We are confident that his guidance will inspire and uplift both staff and students alike during this pivotal period of transition.
Welcome back, Mr. Luckett. We look forward to working together as we continue elevating minds and empowering possibilities.
