WGN’s Mike Lowe honored at H Foundation’s 23rd Annual Goombay Bash for Cancer Research

CHICAGO — A special honor for WGN’s Very Own colleague and cancer survivor Mike Lowe.

Dina Bair and Andrea Darlas presented him with the “Eye of the Tiger” award at the 23rd annual Goombay Bash for Cancer Research at Navy Pier on Saturday night.

The H Foundation, which raises money for the Robert H. Lurie Cancer Center at Northwestern University, gives the award to recognize courage.

Mike Lowe certainly has plenty of courage. He shared the stage tonight with actor Rob Lowe, who was the keynote speaker at the event.
