Man hospitalized following Lower Ninth Ward shooting

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A man has been hospitalized following a shooting that happened in the Lower Ninth Ward neighborhood of New Orleans on Friday July 25.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, police began responding to the shooting, which occurred in the 6100 block of Saint Claude Avenue, shortly before 4:25 p.m.

On scene, a man was found having been shot at least one time. He was taken by New Orleans EMS to a local hospital for treatment.

No further information was provided.
