Over 800 volunteers helped make the three-day convention possible.
One witness hopes everyone who attended will leave with a different perspective.
“Being here at this convention, we expect all in attendance to leave reinvigorated, refreshed, knowing how to worship God in a pure way and, in that way, being able to find real happiness as well,” said Event Spokesman Jonathan Gomas.
The Gruber family goes to the convention yearly. Dan Gruber said worship pushes him to be great in multiple areas of his life.
“It’s what helps me to be a good dad, makes a good husband, and helps me to be a good person overall,” said Gruber. “It allows me to help other people along the way.”
One nearby coffee shop has seen a sizeable boost in business because of the convention.
“They all leave the convention, and we’re only about a block and a half away. So, they’ll come walking down and we’ll have lines out the door when we get busy,” said Rockford Rosting Company Barista Victoria Reed.
Gomas said everyone is welcome.
“This is not just something for Jehovah’s Witnesses, Gomas explained. “We want them to know that they’re willing to come and enjoy the pure worship convention.”
