Sheriff deputies were called to an unincorporated area of north Santa Rosa due to two unresponsive men who had overstayed their checkout time. Arriving deputies found the two men, large quantities of methamphetamine and a firearm.
The men were identified as 37-year-old Windsor resident Carlos Valdivia Muro and 36-year-old Fresno resident Andrew Ramirez. Authorities discovered Ramirez was on felony probation out of Fresno County.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for the hotel room, Muro’s vehicle, and his residence, police said. The search yielded additional methamphetamine and another firearm.
According to the sheriff’s office, approximately eight pounds of methamphetamine were seized in total.
