Reward offered to help solve Berks County cold case

MOHNTON, Pa. (WHTM) — State troopers are still seeking whoever killed a Berks County woman inside her home more than two decades ago.

Lisa Carabello was slain inside her Mohnton home on Feb. 8, 2001, according to the State Police at Reading. She was 40.

Troopers said someone slashed her from behind at the top of a stairway in her home and she fell down the stairs. She died of a wound to her neck and troopers say she had multiple stab wounds.

No signs of forced entry were found at her home.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that solves the case.
