Burke County narcotics bust yields 159g of meth

BURKE COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Burke County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office, has been actively involved in a joint narcotics investigation involving Sterling Vance Loven.

As a result of this ongoing investigation, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office successfully located and seized approximately 159 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 1 gram of cocaine from Loven.

Loven was arrested and charged with the following offenses:

  • Felony Trafficking in Methamphetamine
  • Felony Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver (PWIMSD) Methamphetamine
  • Felony Possession of Cocaine

Loven is being held on a $15,000 bond, with a first court appearance scheduled on July 25.
