According to the Richmond Police Department, Kaiden Wilson turned himself in to the Wayne County Jail on July 21 after authorities issued an arrest warrant for Aggravated Battery, which is a Level 3 Felony.
According to previous reports, RPD officers responded to a shots fired run on NW 17th Street around 1 a.m. on June 15. Officers arrived on the scene and located a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was then transported to Reid Health in critical condition. A short time later, RPD said a second victim arrived at Reid Health for treatment of “non-life-threatening injuries” after being shot.
“Gun violence in our community is unacceptable. We’re not going to stand by while reckless individuals endanger others. We will continue to pursue those who choose violence and we won’t stop until they’re held responsible,” Richmond Police Chief Kyle Weatherly said. “To the people of Richmond: your safety is our priority. And to those who think they can get away with pulling a trigger in our city, you will be found, and you will be held accountable.”
