UPDATE: FHN Memorial Hospital issues all-clear

UPDATE: As of 10:15am Thursday, FHN cleared its Code 100. The hospital says family members of the patients in the crash can enter through the Emergency Room entrance.

Hospital staff will then guide them to the correct room.

Visitors and other guests can also now enter the hospital.

FREEPORT, Ill. (WTVO) – FHN Memorial Hospital is currently dealing with a large number of patients from a bus crash Thursday morning.

Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office says Rink Road is closed between W. Stephenson Street Road and Pearl City Road due to an accident.

The hospital is in Code 100, which is their plan for disaster situations, in which a large number of injured people are taken to the hospital. Access to the hospital at this time is restricted to staff, medical and emergency personnel.

The public is asked to avoid the hospital unless emergency care is needed.
