LendingTree recently released a study diving into driving in Pennsylvania, comparing insurance rates for different areas and situations, along with towns with the best and worst drivers.
LendingTree’s study ranked the best and worst metro areas for driving based on car incidents per 1,000 drivers, crowning State College, PA, drivers as the best with 11.4 incidents and Carlisle as the worst with 27.0 incidents per 1,000 drivers.

When looking into the age demographics for the worst drivers by generation, Gen Z drivers are the most frequent offenders, accounting for 57.4 driving incidents per 1,000 drivers, followed by Millennials (29.6), Gen X (23.1), Boomers (17.5), and finally the Silent Generation (15.4).
Finally, where does the make of the car fit into all of this? LendingTree also accounted for which makes of cars account for the most incidents, with Pontiac drivers causing the least trouble and Ram drivers causing the most.

Regardless of one’s driving abilities, all drivers are required to have insurance before hitting the road, with the average Pennsylvania driver paying about $2,022 for full coverage.

Erie drivers paid near the state average annual rate at $2,033, while Penn State Erie The Behrend College rates were about 4% lower at $1,958.
