Man reportedly injured after being shot while inside vehicle in LaGrange

LaGRANGE, Ga. (WRBL) — The LaGrange Police Department says one man was reportedly injured after a shooting incident near Ogletree Street.

According to the LaGrange Police Department, at approximately 7:36 p.m. on Tuesday, officers arrived at a residence for report of a shots being fired.

Upon arrival, officers didn’t find anyone injured at the scene, however, authorities say a vehicle was found near 907 S Ogletree Street that had sustained several gunshots.

Police say a man arrived to the WellStar West Georgia Medical Center with gunshot wounds to his hands shortly after authorities responded to the shooting.

The victim was uncooperative with authorities but recalled being shot while inside a vehicle at an unknown location. He also didn’t how many suspects were involved in the incident.

An initial investigation determined that a black sedan was near S Ogletree Street at the time of the shooting, and the victim was dropped off at the hospital in a black sedan, which led authorities to believe the vehicle was connected to the incident.

The Criminal Investigations Division has taken over the investigation that remains ongoing.
