Officers were called to the 1400 block of Labelle Avenue for reports of domestic violence on July 22, around 10 p.m. The victim told authorities she woke up to Hobson punching her in the head multiple times.
He also stangled the woman, according to court records.
The woman told officials she was able to break free from the suspect and hide in a shed on the property.
She proceeded to jump a fence and run to a Family Dollar to call 911, court documents show.
Hobson was ordered by a judge to have no contact with the victim after a pretrial release hearing for a pending aggravated domestic battery case.
He immediately went back to the woman’s residence when he was released from jail on June 23.
Hobson is charged with domestic battery that caused bodily harm, aggravated domestic battery that caused strangulation and violating pretrial release orders.
