Columbus police arrest teen connected to homicide near Vineville Street back in May

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Columbus Police Department announced on Tuesday that a person was taken into custody in connection to a murder that happened near Vineville Street back in May.

According to authorities, on Monday a teen, who has been identified as 17-year-old Madison Bunch, was taken into custody in Harris County by Columbus PD’s Fugitive Unit.

She is being accused of shooting 17-year-old David Escobar to death on May 6.

CPD says Bunch has been charged with murder and burglary. She is scheduled to appear in recorder’s court for a preliminary hearing on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
