71-year-old man dies in New Iberia house fire

NEW IBERIA, LA. (KLFY) — A fatal house fire claimed the life of a 71 year old man in New Iberia, firefighters said.

According to the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal, the incident occurred Friday morning in the 1300 block of Marshfield Road in New Iberia.

Investigators reported the cause of the fire is undetermined, but they confirmed there were no smoke alarms in the home.
