
Shōwa, which has a 20-seat dining room, is a Tonkatsu specialty eatery. Tonkatsu is described as Japanese comfort food with breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet. Per the restaurant, they offer “luxurious Iberico pork and exquisite dry-aged options.”
The luxury style magazine highly regarded the eatery’s 10- to 12-course tasting menu, which reportedly featured greenling cod, tuna and dry-aged Duroc pork.
“We take pride in fostering an ambiance that not only exudes peace and exclusivity but also pays homage to a bygone era of Japanese elegance,” according to Shōwa’s website.
Shōwa’s website also says Chef Koji Endo marries “the comforting essence of home-cooked meals with the sophistication of high-end ingredients.”
