According to Chicago police, the crash unfolded outside of the CTA Green Line Cicero station in the 4700 block of West Lake Street, just after 2 a.m.
Officers were initially called to the scene following a report of a crash, but when they arrived on the scene, they found an abandoned white SUV that had crashed into a wall of the station.
Officers did say that the crash caused some damage to the wall, though the extent of the impact is unclear.
While processing the scene, officers also spotted additional damage they believe may be connected to the crash.
Officers said a toppled traffic signal near Fullerton and Cicero, as well as a damaged light pole near Cicero and Lake were also found during their investigation.
Authorities were not able to locate a driver or any passengers who may have been involved in the crash.
Currently, it is unclear what led to the incident and an investigation is ongoing.
