BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Prairieville man accused of residential construction fraud, which resulted in a homeowner losing over $225,000, was arrested.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office stated that investigators discovered Ring entered into a contract in August 2021 to build a home in Geismar, but the project remains incomplete four years later. Deputies said multiple liens were filed on the property due to unpaid invoices for building materials.

The sheriff’s office noted that Ring was arrested earlier this year in an unrelated case involving contractor misapplication of payments in Covington.

An investigation is ongoing.
