K-9 Maui assists in child pornography arrests in Janesville

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — Two offenders were arrested in separate child pornography investigations in Janesville Tuesday, both with the assistance of a specially trained K9.

K9 Maui is a dog trained in Electronic Storage Detection, and can locate concealed electronic devices such as USB drives, SD cards, cell phones, and other digital media.

Around 9:45 a.m, Maui led investigators from the Janesville Police Department in the search of a home in the 400 block of North Oakhill Avenue, where David Hoyle, 68, was arrested.

Around 11:30 a.m., Maui helped point out evidence in the case against Marzette Conner, 24, in the 2000 block of Taylor Court.

Hoyle faces 2 counts of possession of child pornography, while Conner faces 5 counts.
