BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A man accused of burglary at a home on Greenwell Springs Road has been arrested.

Deputies working the scene confirmed that Henry Taylor, 37, was approached by the homeowner about going into a tool shed and removing the tools inside.

Authorities say that before they arrived at the scene, Taylor “charged at the homeowner” and proceeded to fire one shot into the ground.

Following the confrontation, the 37-year-old man ran into a nearby wooded area. A perimeter was formed by a SWAT team, as they were unsure if he was armed in the woods.

After further investigation, deputies discovered that Taylor was a familiar face from a previous arrest. When SWAT arrived, Taylor walked out of the home and surrendered without incident.

Currently, Taylor is on probation for a burglary charge in Livingston Parish.

He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for simple burglary.
