Three-vehicle wreck shuts down portion of Buffalo Gap Road in south Abilene

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A three-vehicle accident on Danville Road sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Danville and Buffalo Gap Road near the Texas Department of Public Safety office. According to police, the person involved in the crash may have experienced a medical condition that contributed to the wreck, though the exact cause remains unclear.

A witness reported seeing the truck traveling west on Danville before it struck an SUV and then collided with a sedan at the intersection. The truck flipped and came to a stop in front of Starbucks.

Southbound traffic on Buffalo Gap Road was completely shut down for several hours as emergency crews responded to the scene. The condition of the injured person has not been disclosed.
