1080 The Fan to simulcast on FM, becoming 105.1 The Fan

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — This week is a big one for sports fans in Portland — not only is Damian Lillard speaking on his return to the Blazers, but 1080 The Fan is making a major move to FM radio.

1080 The Fan will start simulcasting its AM airwaves to 105.1 FM, formerly Bella, starting on Tuesday, July 22, at 6 a.m., becoming 105.1 The Fan.

The Fan’s primetime content will also be entirely local for the first time as a result of the move to 105.1.

With the big move, the station will also debut and extend programming, including the new “The Firm of Harris and Marang,” which will air Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is hosted by Danny Marang and Patrick Harris. Meanwhile, “Dirt and Sprague” is extending to an extra hour from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and “The Happy Hour with Luke Andersen” will air weekdays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by “Primetime with Isaac and Suke,” which will still air from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

‘The Herd with Collin Cowherd,’ which airs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, will now air on Rip City Radio (620 AM) starting on July 22.

The Fan also remains the radio broadcasting home for the University of Oregon Ducks football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.

More to come.
