Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit launched an investigation of Ferono Marquan Curry, 36, in May 2025 after reports that two children, ages six and eight, were being sexually abused in Claiborne Parish. During the investigation, another incident was reported, which warranted involvement from Child Protective Services.
Children were removed from the home, and on May 30, 2025, Curry was arrested and booked into the Claiborne Parish Detention Center on two counts of first-degree rape.
Investigators continued gathering facts, and LSP-SVU investigators uncovered additional allegations involving Curry and the previously mentioned children, as well as an eight-month-old infant. Search warrants executed on Curry’s home led to the recovery of multiple pieces of evidence, which LSP said are undergoing forensic analysis. This evidence led to a subsequent arrest warrant charging Curry with three additional counts of first-degree rape.
On Friday, July 18, a grand jury convened in the 2nd Judicial Court District and returned a true bill indicting Curry on three counts of first-degree rape. This investigation is ongoing, and LSP will release no further information at this time. Curry remains in custody in Claiborne Parish.
Louisiana State Police has an online anonymous reporting form that can be used to provide tips to the appropriate investigators. Anyone with information about this case or other cases involving the exploitation of children or the trafficking of humans for sex or labor can make a report by filing a suspicious activity report.
