Child airlifted to UAB, 3 others injured after crash

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — Four people were injured in an incident involving a golf cart and a vehicle Saturday night, police said.

The Decatur Police Department told News 19 that officers responded to a wreck involving a vehicle and a golf cart.

The DPD said the wreck happened in the 3500 block of W Chapel Hill Road just after 9 p.m.

The department said a child was airlifted to UAB Hospital to receive treatment. An adult and two other children were transported to Huntsville Hospital.

Officers with the DPD, Decatur Morgan EMS, Decatur Fire and Rescue, the Mud Tavern Volunteer Fire Department and Air Evac were dispatched to the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and no other details are available.
