According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, crews were called to the 200 block of East Trowbridge Street — which is located just off South Keystone Avenue — around 3:07 p.m. When crews arrived at the scene, they located heavy fire emanating from a home.
IFD reported that the flames were so intense that they extended from the residence that first caught fire to other nearby houses.
Firefighters made an aggressive attack on the fire after they arrived at the scene. IFD confirmed that its crews were able to minimize the amount of damage the homes near the burning residence sustained.
Crews brought the main residence fire under control in about 20 minutes. They also conducted searches to ensure nobody was inside the homes impacted by the fire.
IFD reported that nobody was injured by the blaze. Officials did not provide any of the displaced person’s identifying information like age and sex.
